What does Take 2 Technology actually do?+
We're a UK technology group with nine specialist divisions covering payments, remote monitoring, security and AI analytics — all underpinned by 30+ years of trading and a worldwide network of manufacturing partners, for whom we act as agent and distributor.
Do you sell directly or through partners?+
Both. We supply end customers directly and also work with integrators, resellers and channel partners. Tell us your model and we'll find the right route.
Can you manufacture or source a product to our specification?+
Yes. Product sourcing and development is core to what we do — we work hand-in-hand with our factory partners to specify, sample and refine products to your requirements.
Where are your products supported?+
In the UK. Design, deployment and 24/7 support all sit under one roof, so there's a single accountable team behind every product.
Do your products work without mains power or broadband?+
Many do. Connectivity is engineered in — 4G, 5G, solar power and edge AI — so our kit runs in remote and off-grid locations.
How is pricing worked out?+
Most of what we do is specified to the site or business, so we quote per project rather than list fixed prices. Tell us what you're trying to achieve — coverage, sites, volumes, timescales — and we'll put together a costed proposal, including any rental or finance options where they apply.
Can I rent equipment rather than buy it?+
For several of our hardware brands, yes — rapid-deploy CCTV and monitoring in particular are available to rent for short-term or seasonal needs, or to buy outright. We'll recommend whichever works best for your project and budget.
What are typical lead times?+
It depends on the product and quantity. Stocked items can ship quickly; bespoke or factory-sourced products are scheduled around manufacturing and freight. We confirm realistic lead times as part of every quote and keep you updated through to delivery.
Do you provide warranty and ongoing support?+
Yes. Products are warranted and our UK team handles design, deployment, monitoring and aftercare under one roof — so there's a single accountable point of contact for the life of the deployment, not a chain of third parties.
How do you handle data protection and GDPR?+
Our monitoring and analytics products are built to be deployed in a UK GDPR-compliant way, with auditable data handling. For CCTV and AI analytics we'll help you with the practicalities — retention, access and lawful-basis questions — so a deployment stands up to scrutiny.
Do you offer AI-powered products?+
Yes — AI is a core area of investment. Our platforms cover real-time video analytics (Fortix AI), AI-dispatched lone-worker safety (Vygard) and intelligent asset and livestock tracking (Localizit, Flockarewe). See our AI platforms page for detail.
Which industries do you work with?+
Agriculture and rural, construction, retail and hospitality, local government, events and venues, logistics and infrastructure, oil, gas and energy, and defence. The common thread is operations that need connected technology in demanding or remote environments.
Are you an approved supplier for defence and hazardous environments?+
We supply to defence and to hazardous-area (ATEX, Zone 1 & 2) requirements, with equipment certified for the relevant standard. Talk to us about your specification and we'll confirm exactly what applies to your project.
